What could be more wonderful than going to Disneyland, or Disneyworld, as a kid? What could be more wonderful going as a college student? How about going to Disney Land, or Disney World, for college? That is exactly what Kayla Layden did.

Did you know that you could get a degree from Western Carolina University while studying in a different country? Studying abroad is the act of fulfilling a college degree in a country that is not your own. Study abroad programs are a great way to expand one’s future while also earning college credit towards the completion of one’s academic program.         Western Carolina offers many programs all over the world. Some of these places include Argentina, Australia, England, Japan, and even South Africa.

Kaitlyn Sizemore is a nationally recognized contemporary dancer and a senior here at Western Carolina University.

Sizemore was not good at traditional sports as a child, and she had tried a lot of them. Nothing athletic ever seemed to click for her, and she was starting to get flustered. At the end of her rope, she looked into dancing. Now, she has been dancing for 16 years and has practiced in dozens of different styles, but her preference is contemporary, which borrows elements from jazz, ballet and hip-hop to create a fast-paced, modern atmosphere.
