Western Carolina University believes in high impact practices, or activities that engage students and promote academic, professional and social excellence. One of these practices includes a common intellectual experience which has been identified by the
Association of American Colleges and Universities.

When we arrive at college as freshman, we may feel intimidated. Western Carolina’s One Book Program has helped freshman focus once they arrive on campus and gears them in a productive direction.

Frankie is a sweet, older (approximately seven years old) female cat who was brought to Catman2 after her owner passed away. Frankie has been with us for over a year waiting to find a great home. She is a beautiful cat with bright eyes that bring out the unique colorization in her grey coat. She gets along fine with other cats. She is quite round and needs to be on a diet but we are unable to restrict food in a shelter environment. Frankie would love a place to rest her head (maybe your lap or bed?) and receive plenty of TLC.
