CULLOWHEE – Western Carolina University students once again are among the nation’s leaders in the number of research projects accepted for presentation at the National Conference on Undergraduate Research, and this year, for the first time, WCU’s student contingent will include a representative of the School of Nursing.
On Thursday, March 16, Western Carolina University’s Mountain Heritage Center hosted a wooden spoon making workshop from 6:30-9:30 p.m. The workshop was led by Jeff Gottlieb, an outdoor educator and primitive skills instructor.
The workshop took place among historical artifacts in the cozy, inviting atmosphere of Mountain Heritage Center’s museum gallery, located in Hunter Library. Participants were limited to just 10 people and required preregistration, as well as a $5 fee to cover the costs of supplies. All 10 spots were filled before the day of the event.
